Welcome to DSpace, Koha and Drupal LiveDVD:

Dr. Sunita Barve

DRTC,Indian Statistical Institute, Bangalore, India

This release of LibLiveDVD is configured using Lubuntu 14.04.1 (LTS)-32bit, DSpace 4.2, Koha 3.18 and Drupal 7.34

DSpace jspui Interface (http://localhost/jspui)
DSpace xmlui Interface (http://localhost/xmlui)
Dspace Admin login: library@localhost ; Password: library

DSpace OAI BaseURL: http://localhost/oai/request

If you cannot see any records, identifiers in DSpace OAI-PMH (http://localhost/oai/request) try to import records manually instead of waiting for cron to complete by running command ( $DSPACE/bin/dspace oai import -c) then also remove all lines in /home/dspace/var/oai/requests, restart tomcat and then you will be able to see recods, identifiers etc.

NOTE: As tomcat is integrated with apache you do not have to use port number like 8080. Another advantage is: even if your firewall blocks 8080 port, your DSpace can be still be accessed through port 80 of apache. LiveDVD can even send mails, if you are running on a machine with Internet IP number and not behind firewalls.

Koha admin (http://localhost/kohaadmin)
Koha Opac (http://localhost/opac)

Koha admin Login: koha_library ; Koha admin password: library

NOTE: Koha OPAC shows blank results or even error message, if you have not configured koha using kohaadmin. Here too, you do not have to use port numbers.

Koha OAI
Koha OAI BaseURL: http://localhost:8000/cgi-bin/koha/oai.pl/

NOTE: OAI works only after you have configured koha and have enabled OAI-PMH

Koha SRW

Drupal 7
Run Drupal

Drupal Database Name: drupal7 ; Drupal username: drupal ; Drupal database Password : library

NOTE With this liveDVD, drupal web installation is already completed. You can directly login to drupal with login name as : drupal and password as : library
For installing any module in drupal if through web, if for some reason if tar.gz does not work one can try installing zip files instead of tar.gz files and then run install. Drupal modules can also be installed through command line using 'drush' command such as root@localhost:/var/www/drupal#drush en pathauto

Web Mail Client
You may try: Login: library ; password: library, provided you have added 'library' as a user while installing liblivedvd on your server.

NOTE: This mail client uses exim4 mail server and gets mail through 'Courier' IMAP server. Further Configuration

Once the LiveDVD is installed on to your hard disk, you may further modify the configuration.

Network Configuration

Depending on whether you wish to use the newly installed system on LAN or Internet, modify the following files.

1) Press Alt+F2 and enter: sudo gedit /etc/hosts: Enter the IP Address and Fully Qualified Domain Name

2) Press Alt+F2 and enter: sudo gedit /etc/hostname: Enter the hostname of your system without domain name

3) In System --> Preferences -> Network Connections
Choose DHCP or Enter Static IP Number, subnet mask and gateway information

Alternatively, instead of using Alt+F2, you may open a terminal using the menus: Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal and use sudo commands

Proxy Configuration

In case your organization uses a proxy, you pass on the proxy information in a few places, which is normally the IP address of the Proxy server, port number, username and password.

1. For lubuntu to set up system wide proxy settings, open a terminal and login as root and in /etc/apt folder create a file called as apt.conf and add the following lines for http, ftp proxy, sftp, ssh, socks settings so that your system will take up these proxy settings.

In the following lines replace proxy_server_ip, portnumber, username & password with real username, password, proxy IP server and port details.

Acquire::http::Proxy "http://username:password@proxy_server_ip:proxy_server_portnumber/";
Acquire::https::Proxy "http://username:password@proxy_server_ip:proxy_server_portnumber/";
Acquire::ftp::Proxy "http://username:password@proxy_server_ip:proxy_server_portnumber/";
Acquire::sftp::Proxy "http://username:password@proxy_server_ip:proxy_server_portnumber/";
Acquire::ssh::Proxy "http://username:password@proxy_server_ip:proxy_server_portnumber/";
Acquire::socks::Proxy "http://username:password@proxy_server_ip:proxy_server_portnumber/";

2) in /home/dspace/config/dspace.cfg, enter the proxy information in the following parameters http.proxy.host & http.proxy.port Do not forget to restart Tomcat whenever you modify dspace.cfg

3) And of course in your browser settings too add proxy details in Edit -> Preferences-> Advanced -> Network Settings -> Manual Proxy Configuration
