Análisis geomorfológico estructural de áreas cromíticas en Moa-Baracoa

Abstract

Se realizó una investigación de geomorfología estructural de carácter regional y posteriormente local. El territorio estudiado está al N del parteaguas principal de primer orden. La configuración predominante de la red fluvial es dendrítica. El rosadiagrama de la intensidad de los alineamientos muestra el predominio de los sistemas N 320° O, el N 40° E y el N 8° E. Los valores predominantes de la disección vertical son de 500 m 1 000 m, y los de la horizontal son de 2,5 km. Las pendientes en grados de 15°-35° ocupan la mayor área del territorio. La zona investigada está en el macrobloque Nipe-Cristal-Baracoa, que está en ascenso, y presenta una amplitud de los movimientos neotectónicos de 1 065 m. La base estadística realizada sobre la vinculación de diferentes elementos geomorfológicos, con la "carga menífera", permitieron cuantitativamente destacar algunos indicios geomorfológicos.
