Se ejecutaron al 90,3 % los proyectos y servicios asociados al Programa Nacional Cambio Climático, mientras que los asociados al Programa Sectorial Diversidad Biológica, obtuvieron una ejecución del 99,6%. Cuatro trabajos presentados en el Fórum de Ciencia y Técnica a nivel de base en el IES, fueron evaluados en la categoría de Relevantes y 1 de Destacado, participando, además, a nivel de AMA, municipal y provincial. Se sobrepasó el índice de publicaciones concebido para el año de 1.7 a 1.76 publicados, de ellos, 15 artículos en revistas de alto impacto. Se realizaron innumerables actividades comprendidas en el Plan de Estado para Enfrentar el Cambio Climático “Tarea Vida” y el Plan Gubernamental para la prevención y enfrentamiento de los delitos e ilegalidades que afectan a los recursos naturales del país. De igual forma, las tareas ejecutadas mediante los Servicios científico- técnicos contribuyeron al desarrollo de la Economía, la Sociedad y el Medio Ambiente. Se introdujeron 4 importantes resultados a la vida social y económica del país derivados de los resultados de los proyectos de investigación científica.
