Se ofrecen además las diferencias más importantes entre las especies nuevas y las más similares. Two new species of copepods belonging to the genus Asterocheres Boeck, 1860 are described. They were collected in association with sponges of the genus Agelas Duchassaing y Michelotti, 1864. The most important differences between those new species and the more similar ones are also given.
