| dc.description.abstract | El análisis morfoestructural, bajo un enfoque históricogenético y jerárquico-regional, del territorio provincial de Guantánamo permitió distinguir tres macrobloques morfoestructurales (montañoso suroriental, montañoso nororiental y depresiones graben superpuestas), compuestos por 6, 15 y 2 mesobloques, respectivamente. Sus correlaciones espaciales con la geodinámica endógena reciente, revelaron cinco tipos morfoestructuro-geodinámicos de zonas sismogeneradoras, de gran significado para el pronóstico de los lugares probables de ocurrencia de terremotos. El principal tipo está relacionado con las fallas transregionales activas de la zona de sutura de interacción interplacas Caribe-Cubana; el segundo está representado por los nudos morfoestructurales existentes en las intersecciones de las zonas de alineamientos morfoestructurales intermesobloques con la sutura sublatitudinal de Bartlett; el tercero, por los sistemas de fallas transregionales de dirección NE, derivados por el desplazamiento lateral izquierdo entre la Placa Caribe y la Microplaca Cubana; el cuarto, por las zonas tectónicas limítrofes entre los distintos macrobloques y mesobloques; y el quinto, por las zonas de articulación interbloques de rango inferior. La distribución de una serie de epicentros de terremotos en los alrededores de la presa "La Yaya", así como su ubicación vinculada a la superposición de algunos tipos morfoestructuro-geodinámicos descritos, puede considerarse como ocurre en otras regiones de la Sierra Maestra, como un nuevo caso de sismicidad inducida en Cuba. The morphostructural analysis, under a historical-genetic and hierarchical-regional approach, of the provincial territory of Guantánamo allowed to distinguish three morpho-structural macroblocks (mountainous southeast, northeastern mountainous and overlapping graben depressions), composed of 6, 15 and 2 mesoblocks, respectively. Its spatial correlations with recent endogenous geodynamics revealed five morphostructuro-geodynamic types of seismogenerating zones, of great significance for the prognosis of the probable places of occurrence of earthquakes. The main type is related to active transregional faults of the Caribbean-Cuban interplate interaction suture zone; the second one is represented by the morpho-structural knots existing at the intersections of the intersimobloque morpho-structural alignments with the Bartlett sublatitudinal suture; the third, by the systems of transregional failures of NE direction, derived by the left lateral displacement between the Caribbean Plate and the Cuban Microplate; the fourth, by the bordering tectonic zones between the different macroblocks and mesoblocks; and the fifth, for the interblock articulation zones of lower rank. The distribution of a series of epicenters of earthquakes in the vicinity of the dam "La Yaya", as well as its location linked to the superposition of some described morphostructuro-geodynamic types, can be considered as occurs in other regions of the Sierra Maestra, as a new case of seismicity induced in Cuba. | es_ES |
