| dc.description.abstract | En el presente trabajo se pretende hacer un ejercicio de reflexión sobre cómo en la actualidad se construyen representaciones y sentidos identitarios que reconfiguran las relaciones de poder y las formas de participación de la sociedad civil, se toma como estudio de caso a los grupos indígenas, que entre otras cosas, lo que buscan es la redefinición y consolidación de nuevos territorios, entendidos éstos como construcciones sociales, en los cuales, llevan a cabo distintas acciones de su vida cotidiana, es decir, el territorio es más que la asociación de las distintas características de un espacio geográfico. Para ello, se parte de la discusión del concepto de cultura el cual nos remite a los diferentes estilos y formas de vida, con base en esta concepción, se puede decir que con ella se construyen las diversas normas formales e informales encargadas de regular la conducta del hombre en sociedad, y dicha normatividad recae en los sentidos y significados que cada grupo social atribuye a las representaciones espaciales y territoriales que se constituyen en su entorno. De ahí la presencia de visiones nacionales y dimensiones microsociales, en las que, en algunos casos se matizan los “elementos que las conforman y las dotan de un sentido peculiar, que las singularizan y distinguen. Recuperar estos elementos significa recuperar la cultura, que es conciencia y voluntad, síntesis y expresión de una memoria, creación del presente y proyección del futuro” 3 sin embargo, se puede apreciar que los elementos referidos de cultura se hacen presente en una diversidad de grupos que dan forma a una nación y no necesariamente pueden adoptar o asumir como propias las manifestaciones culturales oficiales que promulga dicha nación.
