Alternativas en la explotación de recursos naturales en el Parque Nacional Alejandro Humboldt, núcleo de la Zona de Reserva de la Biosfera Cuchillas del Toa

Abstract

Las necesidades del desarrollo económico, en cualquier etapa de la humanidad, se satisfacen sobre la base de un inevitable impacto negativo del hombre sobre la naturaleza. En Cuba existen numerosas áreas protegidas por el Estado Cubano con la intención de preservar sus valores ambientales y económicos. Dentro de estas encontramos el Parque Alejandro de Humbolt en Moa. En el lugar que ocupa este Parque, que ha sido declarado Parque Nacional, Patrimonio de la Humanidad y Reserva de la Biosfera, se asienta una de las más ricas reservas dentro del yacimiento Moa. Explotarlas es una necesidad económica para el desarrollo social del país y para el cumplimiento de sus obligaciones internacionales, el problema es cómo hacerlo de forma sustentable para que las presentes y futuras generaciones encuentren en los recursos que aportan sus riquezas actuales alternativas para desarrollarse cuando estos se hayan agotado totalmente. Al análisis de las alternativas en la explotación de las áreas protegidas dedicaremos el presente artículo que exponemos al lector con la seguridad de encontrar en su discusión valiosos argumentos para enriquecerlo. In Cuba there are numerous protected areas by the Cuban State with the intention of preserving its environmental and economic values. Within these we find the Alejandro de Humbolt Park in Moa. In the place occupied by this Park, which has been declared a National Park, a World Heritage Site and a Biosphere Reserve, one of the richest reserves within the Moa deposit is located. Exploiting them is an economic necessity for the social development of the country and for the fulfillment of its international obligations, the problem is how to do it in a sustainable way so that the present and future generations find in the resources that contribute their current riches alternatives to develop when these are have exhausted completely. To the analysis of the alternatives in the exploitation of the protected areas we will dedicate the present article that we expose to the reader with the security of finding in his discussion valuable arguments to enrich it.
