Abstract

En tiempos contemporáneos el tema ambiental ha trascendido de modo recurrente, pasando incluso al centro del debate entre las más amplias y diversas capas de la sociedad. Ello está condicionado por las emergencias que se avizoran para la propia supervivencia humana, pues sus acciones irracionales, en un proceso histórico, han degradado las bases existenciales. En tal proceder han gravitado diferentes causales, una de las fundamentales es el insuficiente conocimiento de los mecanismos funcionales del medio ambiente, pero sobre todo ha resultado lesiva la tecnologización, que conformó una equívoca apreciación sobre la explotación de los recursos y la factibilidad de restañar los daños a ellos inferidos. Así, en forma progresiva se fueron diversificando e intensificando las formas de interacción con la naturaleza, buscando la maximización en el aprovechamiento, en ausencia de una visión previsora del futuro. La evolución general de los problemas ha hecho evidente lo necesario de respetar y valorizar sus atributos, a fin de garantizar la adecuada reproducción y control. Al respecto se ha promovido un examen más riguroso de todas las esferas de actividad de la sociedad, a fin de definir estrategias conducentes a la sostenibilidad, o sea, desarrollarse hoy sin agotar las posibilidades del mañana. In contemporary times the environmental issue has transcended in a recurrent way, passing even to the center of the debate between the widest and diverse layers of society. This is conditioned by the emergencies that are envisioned for human survival itself, because their irrational actions, in a historical process, have degraded the existential bases. In this way different causes have gravitated, one of the fundamental ones is the insufficient knowledge of the functional mechanisms of the environment, but above all, the technologicalization has been harmful, which made an equivocal assessment about the exploitation of resources and the feasibility of keeping damage to them inferred. Thus, progressively diversified and intensified the forms of interaction with nature, seeking the maximization in the use, in the absence of a forward-looking vision of the future. The general evolution of the problems has made evident the necessary to respect and value their attributes, in order to guarantee the adequate reproduction and control. In this regard, a more rigorous examination of all spheres of activity of society has been promoted, in order to define strategies conducive to sustainability, that is, to develop today without exhausting the possibilities of tomorrow.
