Catálogo de especímenes tipo de crustáceos cubanos (Orden Amphipoda)

Abstract

Se ofrece un listado de los 41 especímenes tipo de crustáceos cubanos (Orden Amphipoda) con sus datos taxonómicos extraídos de las bases de datos de las siete instituciones que las resguardan. Los resultados han sido ordenados en forma de catálogo, con la sistemática más actualizada de las especies, la institución donde se encuentra depositado cada ejemplar, su respectivo número catalográfico, la localidad tipo, la referencia bibliográfica y la sinonimia en el caso que la tenga. Para algunas especies se incluye además la fecha de recolecta, la expedición donde se recolectaron los ejemplares y la profundidad de recolecta. La información ofrecida hasta el presente se encontraba dispersa, por lo que esta recopilación constituye un aporte valioso y práctico para futuras consultas y estudios taxonómicos. A list of the 41 Cuban type specimens of crustaceans (Order Amphipoda) with their taxonomic data, extracted from the databases of the seven institutions that protect them. The results have been ordered in the form of a catalog, with the most update systematics of the species, the institution where each specimen is deposited, its respective catalog number, the type locality, the bibliographic reference and the synonymy in the case that it has it. For some species it is also included the collection date, the expedition where the specimens were collected and the depth of collection. The information offered up to the present was dispersed so this compilation constitutes a valuable and practical contribution for future consultations and taxonomic studies.
