Comportamiento de genotipos de arroz (Oryza sativa L.) promisorios para suelo salino

Abstract

En los meses de marzo hasta julio (período lluvioso) del año 2003, en áreas del establecimiento «Blas Roca» perteneciente al Complejo Agroindustrial Arrocero del municipio «Los Palacios» provincia Pinar del Río, sobre un suelo Gley Nodular Concrecionario, se estudió el comportamiento de nueve líneas y variedades de arroz obtenidas en el programa de mejoramiento genético para tolerancia a salinidad: 3981, 8748, 8738, 4482, 8554, 8741 y las variedades INCA LP-7 e IACUBA-25 junto a la variedad comercial en producción J-104 como testigo de comparación. Fueron evaluados los caracteres cuantitativos: altura final de las plantas, granos llenos por panículas, panículas por metro cuadrado, peso de 1000 granos, granos vanos por panículas, ciclo en días y el rendimiento agrícola e industrial, así como los caracteres cualitativos: resistencia al acame, desgrane, tizón anublo (Pyricularia grisea Sac), manchado del grano y al ácaro (Steneotarsonemus spinki Smiley). Observándose diferencias entre los genotipos estudiados. Los de más alto rendimiento agrícola e industrial fueron obtenidos en la 3981, 8748, 8554, e INCA LP-7, así como el mejor comportamiento a las principales plagas y enfermedades. In the months of March until July (rainy season) of the year 2003, in areas of the «Blas Roca» farm belonging to «Los Palacios» Rice agroindustrial enterprise, on a «Gley Nodular Concretionary soil, the behavior of six lines (3981, 8748, 8738, 4482, 8554, 8741) and three varieties (INCA LP-7,IACUBA-25 and the commercial variety J-104 as comparison control of rice, seven of them obtained in the breeding program for tolerance to salinity, was studied. The quantitative characters (final plant height, full grains per panicle, panicle per square meter, 1000 grain weight, empty grains per panicle, cycle in days and the agricultural and industrial yields), as well as the qualitative characters (resistance to lodging, shattering, blast and discoloured grain diseases and to the mite Steneotarsonemus spinki Smiley) were evaluated. Some differences among studied genotypes were observed. The highest agricultural and industrial yield and the best behavior to the main plagues and illnesses were obtained for the lines 3981, 8748 and 8554, and the variety INCA LP-7. (sic)
