Caracterización química de la lluvia asociada a las ondas tropicales

Abstract

Las ondas tropicales constituyen, después de los ciclones tropicales, el sistema sinóptico más importante de los meses de verano en las regiones donde se presentan ya que el cruce de ellas trae consigo un incremento en los nublados y las precipitaciones. Se halló que las ondas tropicales no presentan, como promedio, valores de PH ácidos en la lluvia, así como que el grado de mineralización de la lluvia debido a las mismas es relativamente bajo. Fueron determinadas otras características químicas de la lluvia asociada a estos sistemas. El carácter ácido o no de la lluvia se debe al comportamiento del aire superior en los días precedentes al arribo de estos organismos al territorio cubano, lo cual se comprobó por el análisis de las trayectorias inversas de las partículas de aire. Tropical waves constitute, after tropical cyclones, the most important synoptic system of the summer months in the regions where they occur since the crossing of them brings with it an increase in clouds and precipitation. It was found that the tropical waves do not present, on average, pH values acid in the rain, as well as that the degree of mineralization of the rain due to them is relatively low. Other chemical characteristics of the rain associated with these systems were determined. The acid character or not of the rain is due to the behavior of the upper air in the days preceding the arrival of these organisms to the Cuban territory, which was verified by the analysis of the inverse trajectories of the air particles.
