Morfometría y reproducción de Numida meleagris (Aves: Numididae) en cautiverio

Abstract

Se determinan algunos índices morfométricos de la especie Numida meleagris. . Los valores se comparan entre sexos y poblaciones (salvaje y en cautiverio), encontrándose diferencias significativas para varios caracteres. Se realizó la curva de puesta, aumentando el número de huevos en los meses de mayo a Julio. Se calculó el índice de Scholtyssek (75,73) y la incubabilidad de los huevos (75%); este último Índice resultó elevado. Morphometric indexes of the species Numida meleagris were determined and compared among sexes and populations (wild and captive), and various significant differences were found for some characters. The setting curve shoved that the number of eggs increased from May to July. The Scholtyssek index and the incubability of eggs were calculated (75,73 and 75% respectively), and this last index was high. (sic)
