dc.description.abstract	El autor describe una nueva especie de isópodo terrestre de las cavernas de Cuba (Trichorhina heterophthalma) y resume los representantes cavernícolas del género Porcellio pearsei, se considera miembro del género Trichorhina y se cree que T. yucatanensis es un sinónimo de T. pearsei.
