Balance anual del Instituto de Ecología y Sistemática (Resumen) 2001

Abstract

Los principales resultados obtenidos por el Instituto de Ecología y Sistemática del año 2001 en cuanto a la investigación fueron resultado del trabajo de 29 proyectos (10 de los cuales se defendieron satisfactoriamente ) donde se obtuvieron 127 resultados. Participación en eventos, talleres y reuniones nacionales e internacionales así como proyectos conjuntos, entrenamientos y cursos Internacionales. Se obtuvieron buenos resultados en el FORUM de Ciencia y Técnica. El impacto científico de estos resultados consiste en el aporte al conocimiento de nuevos taxa y reportes para la ciencia y Cuba, por las nuevas metodologías y procedimientos planteados, por las bases de datos e incremento de colecciones. El impacto medio ambiental se aprecia en la utilización de biofertilizantes, en la posibilidad de desarrollar sistemas agrícolas sostenibles, en poder evaluar la salud de los ecosistemas, en la proposición e implementación de la metodología para el monitoreo de Ecosistemas Costeros. The main results obtained by the Institute of Ecology and Systematics in 2001 in terms of research were the result of the work of 29 projects (10 of which were satisfactorily defended) where 127 results were obtained. Participation in events, workshops and national and international meetings as well as joint projects, trainings and international courses. Good results were obtained in the FORUM of Science and Technology.The scientific impact of these results consists of contributing to the knowledge of new taxa and reports for science and Cuba, by the new methodologies and procedures proposed, by the databases and increase of collections.The environmental impact can be seen in the use of biofertilizers, in the possibility of developing sustainable agricultural systems, in being able to evaluate the health of ecosystems, in the proposal and implementation of the methodology for the monitoring of Coastal Ecosystems.
