| dc.description.abstract | Abordar una temática local o regional contemporánea y de interés, induce de manera inercial u obligada a hacer referencia directa o indirectamente del fenómeno de globalización, incluso, hasta se ha convertido en tema obligado de análisis y discusión en diversos escenarios: sociales, políticos, empresariales y académicos, siendo este último el espacio de mayor discusión y debates, buscando dar explicaciones sustantivas del comportamiento de un fenómeno. Lo cierto es que la globalización se convierte en una especie de pretexto para justificar las desigualdades entre países y si bien es cierto que los cambios tecnológicos suscitados en los últimos años ofrecen soluciones alternas a los problemas y nuevas oportunidades de desarrollo, todavía se observa una amplia asimetría entre las oportunidades y amenazas que este fenómeno crea en las diversas economías del mundo, siendo los entornos locales y regionales de las economías en vías de desarrollo donde se percibe más claramente esta situación de exclusión y segregación territorial. Pero la dinámica del mercado contemporáneo indica que sea cual fuere las características de los territorios, estos son obligados a involucrarse en este ambiente global, sean como proveedores, productores o consumidores. En tal situación, estos espacios deben buscar la forma de integrarse a esta nueva configuración productiva tratando de potenciar sus capacidades económicas, políticas, sociales y culturales. El objetivo de esta ponencia es resaltar que una de las posibles formas para que los entornos territoriales locales menos desarrollados se integren al complejo mercado global y aprovechen las ventajas que este ambiente crea, es mediante la configuración de sistemas productivos locales, pues las evidencias (caso de los floricultores de la región sur estado de México) indican que por medio de la integración fortalecen su estructura productiva y se vuelven más eficientes y competitivas a nivel local y regional. The truth is that globalization has become a kind of pretext to justify inequalities between countries, and while it is true that the technological changes that have taken place in recent years offer alternative solutions to problems and new opportunities for development, there is still a wide asymmetry between the opportunities and threats that this phenomenon creates in the various economies of the world, being the local and regional environments of developing economies where this situation of exclusion and territorial segregation is most clearly perceived. But the dynamics of the contemporary market indicate that whatever the characteristics of the territories, they are forced to get involved in this global environment, whether as suppliers, producers or consumers. In such a situation, these spaces must find a way to integrate into this new productive configuration, trying to enhance their economic, political, social and cultural capacities. The objective of this paper is to highlight that one of the possible ways for less developed local territorial environments to integrate into the complex global market and take advantage of the advantages that this environment creates is through the configuration of local production systems, since the evidence (case of flower growers in the southern region of the state of Mexico) indicate that through integration they strengthen their productive structure and become more efficient and competitive at the local and regional level.
