Abstract

Dentro de los estudios Geólogo Ambientales desde principios de los años sesenta se puso de manifiesto una línea de trabajo, la cual se mantiene en la actualidad con los estudios de evaluación general, cuya finalidad es llevar a cabo un análisis y diagnóstico de una zona dada con el objetivo de planificar la ubicación de actividades humanas en la misma, con un mínimo de deterioro del medio y un mejor aprovechamiento de sus posibilidades. Este estudio se llevó a cabo por un grupo multidisciplinario de especialistas del Instituto de Geología y Paleontología.
