Censos de ballenas francas australes (Eubalaena australis) desde la costa del Refugio de Vida Silvestre “La Esperanza”, Provincia del Chubut, Argentina: Temporada 2021

Abstract

Durante la temporada de permanencia de las ballenas francas australes (Eubalaena australis) en el Golfo San Matías (Provincia de Chubut, Argentina), se realizaron 11 censos desde un punto fijo de observación en las costas del Refugio de Vida Silvestre “La Esperanza”. El pico de presencia de las ballenas se registró en el mes de agosto, con un total de 11 ballenas censadas en total. Las ballenas estuvieron presentes frente a las costas del Refugio entre los meses de junio y septiembre. During the season of permanence of the Southern Right whales (Eubalaena australis) in the San Matías Gulf (Province of Chubut, Argentina), 11 censuses were carried out from a fixed point of observation on the coasts of the Wildlife Refuge "La Esperanza". The peak of presence of whales was recorded in the month of August, with a total of 11 whales registered in total. The whales were present off the coast of the Refuge between the months of June and September (sic).
