Rendimiento de biomasa para leña de Piscidia piscipula (L.) Sargent en el Municipio Niquero, provincia Granma

Abstract

Con el objetivo de determinar por primera vez en Cuba el rendimiento de biomasa para leña de Piscidia piscipula, se realizó la valoración en una plantación en el municipio Niquero, Provincia Granma. El estudio se realizó en la localidad de Manzano, en una plantación de 9 años con un espaciamiento de 3 x 1,5 m. La metodología utilizada fue la establecida por el CATIE en 1984. Los resultados obtenidos indican que la clase diamétrica predominante es la nueve con valores medios de altura total y diámetro normal de 8,43 m y 9,38 cm respectivamente; siendo el rendimiento de leña de 5,7 t/ha/año y el de biomasa total de 7,8 t/ha/año, lo que representa un potencial energético de 93,5 y 129, 8 mj/ha/año respectivamente. With the objective of determining the yield of biomass for the first time for firewood of Piscidia piscipula, It was carried out the valuation in a plantation in Niquero, Granma Province. The study was carried out in the town of Manzano, in a 9 year-old plantation and spacing of 3x 1.5m. The employed methodology was the established one by CATIE in 1984 Rresults indicate that the predominant diametric class is nine with media values of total height and normal diameter of 8.43 and 9.38 cm respectively, being the yield of firewood of 5.7 t/ha/año and total biomass of 7,8 t/ha/año, that represents an energy potential of 93,5 and 129,8 mj/ha/año respectively.
