Propuesta de diseño del Sistema de Información Ambiental de la República de Cuba

Abstract

En el presente documento de tesis se expone la propuesta de diseño del Sistema de Información Ambiental de la República de Cuba (SIA) que amplía el contenido y alcance de la concepción que sobre el mismo ofrecen la Ley 81 del Medio Ambiente y la Estrategia Ambiental Nacional respectivamente. Esta última define que el SIA está integrado solamente por el Sistema de Indicadores y el de Monitoreo. La investigación realizada comprobó que no existe en el país un Sistema de Información Ambiental de carácter nacional que articule e integre las diferentes fuentes, componentes, procesos, políticas, normas, recursos humanos y tecnología y que además haga visible la información. In this thesis document, the proposal for the design of the Environmental Information System of the Republic of Cuba (SIA) that extends the content and scope of the conception offered by Law 81 of the Environment and the National Environmental Strategy is presented respectively. The latter defines that the SIA is integrated only by the Indicator System and the Monitoring System. The research carried out proved that there is no national Environmental Information System in the country that articulates and integrates the different sources, components, processes, policies, standards, human resources and technology and also makes the information visible.
