Lista actualizada de ofiuroideos cubanos

Abstract

El presente trabajo es producto de una revisión de la bibliografía especializada existente en nuestro país, así como de la colección de Equinodermos del Instituto de Oceanología de la Academia de Ciencias de Cuba y del Museo de Ciencias Naturales "Felipe Poey" de la Universidad de La Habana, con el objetivo de actualizar los ofiuroideos cubanos. Se ofrece una lista de las especies registradas hasta el momento y se indica la bibliografía donde aparecen en Cuba. Además, se presentan siete nuevos registros para nuestra fauna marina actual. En toda la información recopilada se encuentran registradas 158 especies de ofiuroideos, distribuidas en 15 familias y 69 géneros.The present work is the product of a review of the specialized bibliography existing in our country, as well as from the collection of Echinodermata of the lnstituteofOceanology of the Cuban Academy of Sciences and the Museum of Natural Sciences "Felipe Poey" of the University of Habana, with the object to actualize the Cuban Ophiuroida. lt is offered a list with the recorded species to the moment and it is indicated the bibliography where they appeared for Cuba. Also, seven new records for our actual marine fauna are given. In all compiled information may be found registered 158 species of ophiuroids, distributed in 15 families and 69 genera.
