Primer reporte del papamoscas cola de tijera, Tyrannus forficatus Gmelin (Passeriformes: Tyrannidae), en el oriente de Cuba

Abstract

Se reporta la observación de un individuo juvenil de Tyrannus forficatus el 20 de enero de 1999 en Guarda la Vaca, Holguín, Cuba. La especie, considerada migrante accidental en el Caribe, había sido registrada previamente solo en el occidente de Cuba. Este constituye el primer registro para el oriente del país y la fecha más tardía reportada en las Antillas. / A juvenile Tyrannus forficatus was observed on 20 January 1999 at Guarda la Vaca, Holguín, Cuba. The species is considered an accidental migrant in the Caribbean and had previously been recorded only in western Cuba. This observation represents the first record for eastern Cuba and the latest date reported in the West Indies.
