Especie nueva de copépodo espongícola (Copepoda: Siphonostomatoida: Asterocheridae) para Cuba

Abstract

Se describe una nueva especie de copépodo perteneciente al género Asterocheres Boeck, 1860. Se recogió en asociación con la esponja Ptilocaulis walpersi. (Duchassaing y Michelotti, 1864). También se dan las diferencias más importantes entre los nuevos Asterocheres y las especies congéneres estrechamente relacionadas.A new species of copepod belonging to the genus Asterocheres Boeck, 1860 is described. It was collected in association with the sponge Ptilocaulis walpersi. (Duchassaing y Michelotti, 1864). Most important differences among the new Asterocheres and the close related congeneric species are also given.
