Reporte de blanqueamiento de corales del año 2003 en Cuba

Abstract

En el 2003, los reportes de intensidad (porcentaje) de blanqueamiento de corales variaron entre cero y 50%. Los porcentajes más altos (31-50%) se observaron hacia el extremo occidental de Cuba (norte y sudeste de Pinar del Río). En el fueron moderados; en, bajos; y en, nulos. En los mapas de HotSpots y DHW se observa cierta correspondencia entre las zonas donde hubo blanqueamiento y las áreas que se sobrecalentaron en los meses de agosto, septiembre y la primera mitad de octubre. In 2003, intensity (percentage) of coral bleaching reports ranged from zero to 50%. Those percentages more high (31-50%) is observed towards the end Western of Cuba (North and Southeast of pine forest of the river). In the were moderate; in, bass; and in, null. In maps of HotSpots and DHW there is some correspondence between the areas where there was bleaching and areas which overheated in the months of August, September and the first half of October.
