Primer registro del género Rhachotropis (Crustacea: Amphipoda: Gammaridea: Eusiridae) para las aguas marinas cubanas, con la descripción de una nueva especie

Abstract

Se describe un nuevo crustáceo Amphipod, del género Rhachotropis, (Gammaridea: Eusiridae), recogido en asociación con una esponja de mar profundo. También se dan las principales diferencias entre este nuevo anfípodo y todos los otros conocidos. Este es el primer registro del género en las aguas cubanas. A new Amphipod crustacean, of the genus Rhachotropis, (Gammaridea: Eusiridae), collected in association with a deep sea sponge, is herein described. The main differences between this new amphipod and all other known are also given. THis is the firts record of the genus in the cuban waters.
