Vertiente atlántico: Buena opción para arbustos.

Abstract

Se analiza como influyen las diferencias ambientales de las vertientes, Atlántico y Pacífico en el páramo del Cerro La Muerte, ubicado en la cordillera de Talamanca, Costa Rica; sobre la estructura y fenología de la vegetación arbustiva presente en el mismo. Se registraron un total de 17 especies con 610 individuos, cinco de ellas, Vaccinum consanguineum, Comarustaphylus arbustoides, Pernethya postrata, Hypericum strictum y Hesperomeles sp.) compartidas para las dos vertientes estaban en flor y fruto. Los individuos de la vertiente Atlántico tuvieron una mayor altura y un diámetro a la altura del pecho mayor que los del Pacífico. The influence of the environmental differences of the Atlantic and Pacific slopes in the páramo of Cerro La Muerte, located in the Talamanca mountain range, Costa Rica, is analyzed; on the structure and phenology of the shrub vegetation present in it. A total of 17 species were recorded with 610 individuals, five of them, Vaccinum consanguineum, Comarustaphylus arbustoides, Pernethya postrata, Hypericum strictum and Hesperomeles sp.) Shared for the two slopes were in flower and fruit. The individuals of the Atlantic slope had a greater height and a diameter at breast height greater than those of the Pacific.
