Análisis estructural del bosque en áreas protegidas de Sierra Canasta, Guantánamo.

Abstract

El presente trabajo se realizó en un bosque semicaducifolio sobre suelo calizo del Área Protegida de Sierra Canasta, en el municipio El Salvador y Niceto Pérez, provincia de Guantánamo y tiene como objetivo determinar la estructura del bosque para su conservación y manejo sostenible. En el área de estudio se levantaron aleatoriamente un total de 12 unidades de muestreos rectangulares con 0,1 ha; identificando las especies forestales con diámetro a la altura del pecho igual o mayor de 2.5 cm. A cada especie seleccionada se le midió el diámetro y la altura total. Las informaciones adquiridas permitieron obtener la Estructura horizontal (Abundancia absoluta, Abundancia relativa, Frecuencia absoluta, Frecuencia relativa, Dominancia absoluta, Dominancia relativa, Índice de valor de importancia), y la Estructura vertical. The present work was carried out in a semi-deciduous forest on limestone soil of the Protected Area of ​​Sierra Canasta, in the municipality of El Salvador and Niceto Pérez, province of Guantanamo, and its objective is to determine the structure of the forest for its conservation and sustainable management. In the study area, a total of 12 units of rectangular sampling with 0.1 ha were randomly raised; identifying forest species with a diameter at breast height equal to or greater than 2.5 cm. The diameter and the total height were measured for each selected species. The acquired information allowed us to obtain the Horizontal structure (Absolute Abundance, Relative Abundance, Absolute Frequency, Relative Frequency, Absolute Dominance, Relative Dominance, Importance Value Index), and the Vertical Structure.
