Flora del Valle del Río Cojímar, Provincia Ciudad de La Habana

Abstract

Con la finalidad de dar a conocer la flora del Valle del Rio Cojímar, así como sus particularidades, se realizó el estudio de las especies de las comunidades vegetales allí presentes, que arrojó un total de 285 especies (37 endémicas), agrupadas en 212 géneros y 77 familias. Se presenta la lista florística, incluida la utilidad de las especies, a la vez que se fundamenta la necesidad de preservar el área, dados los valores botánicos que posee en un entorno tan reducido y próximo a nuestra capital. In order to make known the flora of the Cojímar River Valley, as well as its peculiarities, the study of the species of the plant communities present there was carried out, which yielded a total of 285 species (37 endemic), grouped into 212 genera and 77 families. The floristic list is presented, including the utility of the species, while the need to preserve the area is based, given the botanical values it has in such a small environment close to our capital.
