Análisis de las series de observaciones de temperatura y viento aplicado al ciclo del cultivo del tabaco en la estación San Juan y Martínez, provincia Pinar del Río.

Abstract

A partir de las observaciones trihorarias de temperatura registradas en la estación meteorológica de San Juan y Martínez, en la provincia de Pinar del Río, en el periodo 1974 - 2000, se calculó la frecuencia de ocurrencia por rangos de temperatura de referencia y por etapas para el ciclo del cultivo del tabaco. Se analizaron la marcha anual, la marcha diaria, la tendencia y la permanencia de estas series. Se obtuvo que las temperaturas óptimas son las que presentan mayor frecuencia de ocurrencia, que existe una tendencia significativa a la disminución de número de casos de temperaturas óptimas en la etapa de secado con un punto de cambio entre 1982 y 1985 y que respecto a la permanencia todas las series tienen tendencia decreciente para el rango óptimo. Con respecto a la series observaciones de dirección y rapidez del viento se obtuvo que aunque en la etapa de secado la mayor frecuencia de ocurrencia de vientos son del primer cuadrante entre 1 y 2 m/s, existe una representatividad de hasta el 1% de casos de componente sur con vientos entre 4 y 5 m/s y mayores. Las calmas con representatividad del 32 % de las observaciones tienden a disminuir en el área de estudio y son más frecuentes en horas de la noche, la madrugada y primeras horas de la mañana (antes de las 07 hora local) y en los meses del periodo lluvioso, por lo que se recomienda tener en cuenta esta información a la hora de aplicar los regadíos.
