The climate experienced by any person as a rational entity must be identified with the way in which real time manifests itself. It is reasonable, therefore, to analyze man's responses to the most diverse meteorological situations experienced daily. One of the ways to achieve this is the use of different bioclimatic indexes from the combination of several variables. The objective of the work is to determine the types of weather in the Jardines del Rey Tourist Destination (DTJR), based on one of the most used classifications, based on a 9-year database (1992-2000) of the weather station. of Cayo Coco. The classifications proposed for other tropical zones are not completely valid for our study area; therefore, a new typology was obtained from which the maximum number of days was classified. It was also determined the frequency of each type of time, the stage of the year that from the point of view of comfort provides greater and better possibilities of exploiting the climate resource, and the results were compared with those obtained for another similar tourist destination.
