Programa para el cálculo automatizado de índices agrometeorológicos

Abstract

En el caso específico de la meteorología agrícola, los antecedentes investigativos en Cuba no son abundantes. Los más difundidos se encuentran fundamentalmente en las propuestas desarrolladas por el Instituto de Meteorología, específicamente en el departamento nacional de la especialidad, donde se han logrado automatizar los procesos de creación de mapas y tablas municipales de precipitación para los contenidos de los informes científicos, resultado de la vigilancia agrometeorológica. Si bien los objetivos nacionales se han encaminado hacia esa línea, los principales logros se han alcanzado ciertamente en "la automatización del dato" (Cuba. Instituto de Meteorología, 1998), por tanto se requiere de investigaciones en este sentido. El nivel logrado hasta la fecha debe mejorar con vistas a garantizar satisfactoriamente el trabajo operativo y de investigación demandado por la sociedad. This situation is particularly important in the provincial meteorological centers, which is why the lack of automated systems for the calculation of agrometeorological indices constitutes a limitation for the provision of agrometeorological services in them.
