Turismo Sostenible: una utopía o una realidad

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo hacer algunas reflexiones acerca del turismo sostenible, tomando como muestra el Centro Histórico de Ciudad de La Habana, que si bien no es un modelo de turismo sostenible, sí es el comienzo de una práctica positiva, que como inicio al fin, adolece aún de muchos de los elementos identificables para un desarrollo de turismo sostenible. La muestra transmite la lección de que el turismo puede proporcionar una contribución económica, social, cultural y ambiental independientemente del entorno donde se desarrolle, disminuyendo así los impactos negativos del mismo, brindando una protección continuada e imprimiendo un valor añadido al patrimonio tanto natural como cultural en las localidades donde se despliegue. The present work has as objective to make some reflections about the sustainable tourism, taking as sample the Historical Center of City of Havana, that although it is not a model of sustainable tourism, yes it is the beginning of a positive practice, that like beginning to the Finally, it still lacks many of the identifiable elements for a sustainable tourism development. The show conveys the lesson that tourism can provide an economic, social, cultural and environmental contribution regardless of the environment where it is developed, thus reducing the negative impacts of it, providing continued protection and printing an added value to both natural and cultural heritage in the locations where it is deployed.
