Datos morfométricos de la cuenca hidrografica Arroyo Bermejo, Santa Cruz del Norte, La Habana

Abstract

La localidad de Santa Cruz del Norte se ubica 60 km al E de la capital de Cuba transitando por la autopista Vía Blanca que enlaza La Habana y la Varadero, sirve para acceso a la cuenca hidrográfica de Arroyo Bermejo localizada al NE de la comunidad rural de Canasí, y desemboca en la playa de similar nombre, al E de la ensenada de Jibacoa. Dentro del proyecto de ordenamiento litoral a solicitud de la gerencia comercial de Villa Club Trópico fue incluido por vez primera un estudio para mitigar el azolvamiento en su desembocadura. Siendo planteado como problema técnico la caracterización cuantitativa de está unidad fisiográfica, por su implicación directa en la visión del recurso paisajístico Playa Bermejo para la esfera de promoción y comercialización en el mercado turístico. Trazado como objetivo el cálculo de los parámetros morfométricos básicos y el grado de integración de su modelo de drenaje. Los resultados permiten indicar que la cuenca Bermejo abarca 2,96 km2 con configuración dendrítica asimétrica, y un control litológico – estructural para algunos segmentos del conjunto de 110 canales y corrientes permanentes. La orientación de las alineaciones tectónicas registró tres rumbos preferenciales: N, NNE, NNW y longitudes entre 0,5 km y 1,10 km. Los cálculos morfométricos indicaron: Longitud del cauce principal 3,6 km; Índice de forma – 0,8; Razón de textura de 28,9 km2; frecuencia de río 2,75; Relación de relieve de 28,6 m; gradiente de canal de 0,096%; Amplitud del cauce entre 40 y 80 m. Esta cuenca no posee una forma específica. El valor del índice de 2 forma, infiere la ausencia de organización y equilibrio, hecho que confirma su control tectónico – estructural. La anterior cualidad de este recurso hídrico requiere de una evaluación ambiental detallada para el tratamiento de las aguas residuales de las instalaciones turísticas del litoral adyacente. The morphometric calculations indicated: Length of the main channel 3.6 km; Form index - 0.8; Texture ratio of 28.9 km2; river frequency 2.75; Relief ratio of 28.6 m; channel gradient of 0.096%; Channel width between 40 and 80 m. This basin does not have a specific form. The value of the index of 2 forms infers the absence of organization and equilibrium, fact that confirms its tectonic - structural control.
