Abstract

El manual ofrece un grupo de conocimientos sobre los diferentes sistemas agroforestales, con vistas a hacer una mejor utilización de las tierras en la montaña, producir café, cacao, productos agrícolas y animales para el autoconsumo. Su aplicación permitirá recuperar la fertilidad del suelo y elevar el nivel actual de los rendimientos, sin afectar el ambiente. La Comisión Nacional del Plan Turquino Manatí tiene como propósito que cada productor de la montaña haga suyo este conjunto de instrucciones técnicas, de manera que rijan el desarrollo de las producciones agropecuarias y forestales con el fin de fortalecer el componente ambiental, tan necesario a los frágiles ecosistemas de la montaña. The manual offers a group of knowledge about the different agroforestry systems, with a view to making better use of the lands in the mountains, producing coffee, cocoa, agricultural products and animals for self-consumption. Its application will allow to recover the fertility of the soil and raise the current level of yields, without affecting the environment.
