La acción social en la transformación del espacio rural: una revisión conceptual desde la perspectiva del territorio.
Abstract
In recent years have been happening a lot of transformations at the territorial level. These transformations are not a phenomenon of modernity, but it begin with the human being. Throughout history the empirical concerns of human beings for to know and establish economic and productive relationships with their environment, became in the use, conservation and management of space according to their objective needs. These transformations that are reflected in the variation of production, financial and technological structures of the societies and in changing their social and cultural patterns, also have affected rural spaces. Today, the rural spaces are facing a weak balance between the different functions that are required. New waysof organizing the territory, even from the environmental point of view, have blurred the boundaries that existed between rural and urban areas. The objective of this paper is to understand the interrelationships of social groups in rural spaces and the processes that have been transformed. From the conceptual point of view in the article analyzes the geography studies, through the history, related to space. Also discusses the conceptual differences and relationships between space and territory, major territorial transformations, rural spaces and the influence of social action in these transformations.
