Abstract

La gestión medioambiental en los hoteles es un tema de actualidad, no solo por los impactos positivos y negativos que estos generan a partir de las propias dimensiones del desarrollo sostenible sino también por el hecho que mantener y elevar una imagen de instalación ecológica ante el mercado y los clientes, es hoy elemento de competitividad. Este es el tema de la investigación que se aborda, realizada en el Hotel Iberostar Laguna Azul. Se tiene como objetivo identificar los problemas ambientales relevantes, darle un orden de prioridad, cuantificarlos y ponderarlos a partir de realizar propuestas de índice que midan su importancia y gestión. A todo lo largo del trabajo se aplican métodos de trabajo con expertos y de ponderación que le dan base a los resultados obtenidos.
