Bacillariophyceae del estanque del Jardín Botánico de Cienfuegos, Cuba

Abstract

Se colectó material en un estanque eutrófico del Jardín Botánico de Cienfuegos, Cuba, del que se identificaron 28 táxones, pertenecientes a 16 géneros de diatomeas, de los cuales 8 constituyen nuevos registros para Cuba: Cymbella minuta var. silesiaca (Bleisch ex Rabenh.) Reimer, Eunotia maior (W. Smith) Rabenhorst, Eunotla monodon Ehrenberg, Fragilarla construens (Ehrenberg) Grunow, Fragilaria elliptica Schumann, Gomphonema brasiliense Grunow, Navicula savannahiana Patrick, Nitzschia acicularis W. Smith. Se ofrecen comentarios taxonómicos y dibujos de los táxoncs identificados.Samples from an eutrophic concrete basin at the Botanical Garden of Cienfuegos, Cuba, were collected. Twenty-eight taxa belonging to 16 diatom genera were identified, 8 are reported for the first time from Cuba: Cymbella minuta var. silesiaca (Bleisch ex Rabenh.) Reimer Eunotia maior (W. Smith) Rabenhorst, E. monodon Ehrenberg, Fragilaria construens (Ehrenberg) Grunow, F. elliptica Schumann, Gomphonema brasiliense Grunow, Navícula savannahiana Patrick, and Nitzschia acicularis W.
