Comportamiento temporal de los focos de calor detectados por satélites en área azucarera al norte de la provincia de Villa Clara, Cuba.

Abstract

El uso de la teledetección satelital se convierte cada día en una herramienta importante en la lucha contra incendios. El objetivo del presente trabajo es analizar el comportamiento temporal del punto caliente causado por la quema de caña de azúcar en la zona norte de la provincia de Villa Clara. Se examinaron diversas fuentes bibliográficas, se utilizó la base de datos del Sistema de Información sobre Incendios para la Gestión de Recursos (FIRMS) de la NASA y el Sistema de Información Geográfica QGIS, de código abierto, para la integración y el análisis espacial de la información. Entre los principales resultados, se constató que la actividad azucarera se desarrolla en suelos no aptos para el mismo y que se está produciendo un incremento en la quema de caña de azúcar. Finalmente, se explican algunos efectos ambientales negativos derivados de esta práctica y las diferentes acciones que se pueden llevar a cabo para afrontar esta situación. The use of satellite remote sensing every day becomes an important tool in firefighting. The objective of the present work is to analyze the temporary behavior of the hot spot caused for it burns it of the cane of sugar in area of the north of the province of Villa Clara. Bibliographical different sources were examined, the database of the System of information was used it has more than enough fires for management of resources (Fire Information for Resource Management System _FIRMS) of NASA and, the System of Geographical Information free QGIS, was used for the integration and space analysis of the information. Among the main results, it was found that the sugar activity is developed in non capable soil for the same one and that is happening an increment of it burns it of the cane of sugar. Lastly, some environmental negative effects are explained that causes this practice type and, different actions that they can be carried out to face this situation.
