Abstract

Jardines de la Reina, el más aislado y conservado de los grupos insulares cubanos, se destaca entre los ecosistemas tropicales del mundo por su biodiversidad exclusiva, elevada productividad de manglares y pastos marinos, sus imponentes crestas arrecifales, el gigantismo y abundancia de sus peces y la presencia de especies carismáticas que convierten a este archipiélago en un paraíso para el turismo de bajo impacto, la pesca sostenible y la investigación científica.
