Un acercamiento a la etnobotánica en la Ciénaga de Zapata

Abstract

El presente trabajo se propone lograr un acercamiento a las relaciones que se establecen entre la población y las plantas que las circundan. Para ello se escogieron cinco comunidades de la Ciénaga de Zapata y se realizaron entrevistas abiertas a 12 conocedores de las plantas (4 hombres y 8 mujeres, en edades comprendidas entre 40 y 80 años). Se constató que se emplean 162 especies, 101 silvestres y 61 están bajo cultivo en los patios y jardines. Los usos generales encontrados fueron como medicinal, maderable, para techar las viviendas, para la obtención de carbón, comestible y esotérico, con un aprovechamiento múltiple para cada especie. La vida de la familia cenaguera se desenvuelve en la apropiación de los recursos naturales de una forma racional. The present work intends to achieve an approach to the relationships that settle down among the population and the plants that surround them. For they were chosen it five communities of the Zapata Swamp and they were carried out interviews open to 12 experts of the plants (4 men and 8 women, in ages understood between 40 and 80 years). It was verified that 162 species are used, 101 wild and 61 are low cultivation in the coart yard and gardens. The opposing general uses were as medicinal, for timber, to roof the housings, for the obtaining of coal, eatable and occult, with different use for each species.
