Nuevos registros de algas marinas cubanas

Abstract

Se presentan siete nuevos registros de especies de algas marinas encontradas en prospecciones realizadas para inventariar la flora y la fauna marinas en el Archipiélago Sabana-Camagüey, en la zona norte-central de Cuba. Las colectas se realizaron manualmente o con un equipo por succión, mediante buceo autónomo o en apnea. El material colectado fue fijado en formol al 5% previamente neutralizado con tetraborato de sodio, y se analizó la anatomía de los ejemplares con microscopía de campo claro. Posteriormente fueron depositados y catalogados en el Departamento de Colecciones Marinas del Instituto de Oceanología (IDO). Para la identificación se empleó la bibliografía necesaria para cada caso y para la clasificación se siguió el criterio de Wynne (1998). Presented seven new records of species of marine algae were found in surveys carried out to inventory the flora and fauna marine in the Sabana-Camagüey Archipelago, in the area North-Central Cuba. Collections were made manually or with a computer by using autonomous diving or apnea, suction. The material collected was fixed in formalin to the 5% previously neutralized with tetraborate of sodium, and is analyzed the anatomy of them exemplary with microscopy of field clear. Subsequently they were deposited and catalogued in the Department of marine collections of the Institute of Oceanology (left). The bibliography was used for the identification required for each case and for the classification followed the criterion of Wynne (1998).
