Abstract

El clima experimentado por cualquier persona como ente racional, debe identificarse con la forma en que el tiempo real se manifieste. Resulta razonable, por tanto, analizar las respuestas del hombre ante las más diversas situaciones meteorológicas vividas a diario. Una de las vías para lograrlo es la utilización de diferentes índices bioclimáticosdados a partir de la combinación de diversas variables. El trabajo tiene como objetivo determinar los tipos de tiempo en el Destino Turístico Jardines del Rey (DTJR), a partir de una de las clasificaciones más utilizadas, tomando como referencia una base de datos de 9 años (1992-2000) de la estación meteorológica de Cayo Coco. Las clasificaciones propuestas para otras zonas tropicales no son completamente válidas para nuestra área de estudio; se obtuvo por tanto, una nueva tipología a partir de la cual se logró clasificar el máximo de jornadas. Se determinó además la frecuencia de cada uno de los tipos de tiempo, la etapa del año que desde el punto de vista de confort brinda mayores y mejores posibilidades de explotar el recurso clima, y se compararon los resultados con los obtenidos para otro destino turístico similar.The climate experienced by any person as a rational entity must be identified with the way in which real time manifests itself. It was also determined the frequency of each type of time, the stage of the year that from the point of view of comfort provides greater and better possibilities of exploiting the climate resource, and the results were compared with those obtained for another similar tourist destination.
