| dc.description.abstract | En este artículo se presenta el comportamiento generalizado de la evolución de las playas del E de la Ciudad de La Habana, mediante el análisis de cuatro perfiles topográficos en las playas de Tarará, Santa María y Guanabo. La incidencia, en el período de investigación, de las fuertes precipitaciones de junio de 1982, y Ja entrada del mar en el mes de marzo de 1983, alteraron el comportamiento regular del perfil de playa, por lo que la evolución representada para este tramo de costa, está asociada a un período poco estable de la zona. A pesar de los fenómenos referidos anteriormente, se caracteriza la dinámica general de las playas que presentan un ciclo de acumulación en el verano y otro de erosión en invierno, con predominio de movimientos de sedimentos en dirección perpendicular a la costa, sobre el movimiento paralelo a la misma. El movimiento paralelo a la costa de los sedimentos presenta estabilidad en dirección W, asociado a los vientos predominantes del 1er cuadrante. his article presents the generalized behavior of the evolution of the E beaches of the City of Havana, through the analysis of four topographic profiles on the beaches of Tarará, Santa María and Guanabo. The incidence, in the period of investigation, of the heavy precipitations of June of 1982, and the entrance of the sea in the month of March of 1983, altered the regular behavior of the beach profile, reason why the evolution represented for this section of coast, is associated to an unstable period of the zone. In spite of the phenomena referred to above, the general dynamics of the beaches that present a cycle of accumulation in the summer and another of erosion in winter are characterized, with predominance of sediment movements in a direction perpendicular to the coast, on the movement parallel to the same. The movement parallel to the coast of the sediments presents stability in direction W, associated with the prevailing winds of the 1st quadrant. | es_ES |
