Cuatro años de implementación en la renovación y fortalecimiento del sistema agrometeorológico territorial en la provincia Matanzas

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo actual exponer luego de tres años de implementación los avances logrados dentro del resultado: “Renovación y fortalecimiento del Sistema Agrometeorológico Territorial en la provincia Matanzas”, obtenido en 2015 mediante la culminación exitosa de un Proyecto No Asociado a Programa, quien tuvo como objetivo originario contribuir al desarrollo agropecuario sostenible de la provincia con la recuperación del Sistema Provincial de Meteorología Agrícola, mediante el fortalecimiento del trabajo operativo y de los sistemas de predicción y vigilancia agrometeorológica que se derivan de la Red de Estaciones Agrometeorológicas. Inicialmente se realizó un diagnóstico la situación actual de la Red de Estaciones Agrometeorológicas y del Grupo Provincial de Meteorología Agrícola, posteriormente se efectuó la capacitación de actores implicados en el Sistema de Predicción y Vigilancia Agrometeorológica, seguidamente se logró el rescate de toda la información histórica de archivos sobre observaciones biométricas y fenológicas de cultivos y animales mediante la automatización y procesamiento de Bases de Datos, con todo ello se proyectó la gestión de la información económica y productiva de interés para evaluar el impacto de eventos meteorológicos extremos en el sector agropecuario, como referencia para perfeccionar los sistemas de predicción y vigilancia, que han tributado al diseño de escenarios agrícolas futuros, al trazarse una estrategia de recuperación y fortalecimiento de la Red de Estaciones Agrometeorológicas y del Grupo Provincial de Meteorología Agrícola. Luego de tres años de implementación se ha logrado $370 000.00MN de ingresos por medios propios e impedir pérdidas millonarias a la sociedad y evidentemente a la economía agropecuaria matancera, con la inclusión de las acciones de la Tarea Vida.
