Automatización del cálculo de parámetros morfométricos de cuencas hidrográficas

Abstract

El objetivo de este artículo es mostrar la extraordinaria diferencia entre el procedimiento manual y las posibilidades actuales para determinar la morfometría hidrográfica. Vale señalar que, gracias al dedicado trabajo realizado, en su momento, por los especialistas de la Sección de Investigaciones Básicas del Departamento de Hidrología del Instituto Nacional de Recursos Hidráulicos (INRH), existe un documento que contiene la información morfométrica para todas las cuencas mayores de 5 km2 en el territorio nacional. The aim of this article is to show the extraordinary difference between the manual procedure and the current possibilities for determining hydrographic morphometry. It is worth noting that, thanks to the dedicated work carried out, at the time, by the specialists of the Basic Research Section of the Hydrology Department of the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources (INRH), there is a document that contains the morphometric information for all the major basins of 5 km2 in the national territory.
