Abstract

Durante los días 21 y 22 de julio del año 2022 se realizó el taller: “FACTIBILIDAD, DISEÑO Y DESARROLLO DE LA PREDICCIÓN ESTACIONAL Y SUBESTACIONAL SOBRE CUBA MEDIANTE EL USO DE TÉCNICAS ESTADÍSTICAS Y DINÁMICAS”, bajo la ejecución del proyecto internacional: “Construyendo Resiliencia a la Sequía en Cuba”. Estuvieron presentes un total de 25 investigadores y especialistas integrantes o no del proyecto, pertenecientes al Centro de Física de la Atmósfera, Centro del Clima, Centro de Agrometeorología del Instituto de Meteorología y de FLACSO (Universidad de la Habana). En él, se intercambiaron sobre los aspectos técnicos a tener en cuenta en la toma de decisiones sobre escoger los predictores adecuados que a nivel regional, local y sinóptico repercutan directamente sobre los procesos formadores de la precipitación sobre el territorio nacional y la región de Centroamérica y el Caribe y como segundo paso los posibles esquemas a tener en cuenta para lograr un pronóstico estacional de la precipitación o la sequía sobre el territorio nacional. Además de estas dos actividades fundamentales se dio un repaso a las acciones a realizar por el componente de equidad de género y género sensible en las áreas de intervención del proyecto, al mismo tiempo se trabajó en la construcción de un formulario para ser rellenado por especialistas del proyecto y otros actores, para con ese resultado, terminar de redactar el documento de Estrategia Comunicacional, que en este caso pasará a llamarse: Estrategia de diseminación Comunicación y Explotación. On July 21 and 22, 2022, the workshop was held: “FEASIBILITY, DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT OF SEASONAL AND SUBSTATIONAL FORECASTING OVER CUBA THROUGH THE USE OF STATISTICAL AND DYNAMIC TECHNIQUES”, under the execution of the international project: “Building Resilience to the Drought in Cuba.” A total of 25 researchers and specialists, whether or not members of the project, were present, belonging to the Center for Atmospheric Physics, the Climate Center, the Agrometeorology Center of the Institute of Meteorology and FLACSO (University of Havana). In it, they exchanged on the technical aspects to be taken into account when making decisions about choosing the appropriate predictors that at the regional, local and synoptic level have a direct impact on the precipitation-forming processes over the national territory and the region of Central America and the Caribbean and as a second step the possible schemes to take into account to achieve a seasonal forecast of precipitation or drought over the national territory. In addition to these two fundamental activities, a review was given of the actions to be carried out by the gender equity and sensitive gender component in the areas of intervention of the project. At the same time, work was done on the construction of a form to be filled out by specialists from the project and other actors, to achieve this result, finish writing the Communication Strategy document, which in this case will be called: Communication and Exploitation Dissemination Strategy.
