Abstract

Se presenta el mapa de la vegetación actual de Isla de la Juventud, Cuba, a escala 1:250000. Se describen las formaciones vegetales, mejor conservadas en la región sur, donde predomina el bosque semideciduo. En la región norte, utilizada mayormente con fines agrícolas, las formaciones vegetales mejor representadas son el pinar y el manglar.The vegetation map of Isla de la Juventud, Cuba, is presented and the plant formations are described. The best areas with natural vegetation are in the southern part (mainly semideciduos forest). In the northern part, the natural vegetation is represented principally by pine forest and mangrove. (sic)
