Observaciones en himenópteros cubanos. II. Subgénero Macromischa (Formicoidea: Leptothorax)

Abstract

Las 38 especies cubanas del subgénero Macromischa Roger presentan tres tipos fundamentales de hábitat. Se describen las construcciones hechas a la entrada del nido de las especies que habitan en grietas de rocas calizas, y el nido de una especie que vive entre las plantas. Se señalan algunas especies simpátricas. Three fundamental types of habitats are given for the 38 Cuban species of the subgenus Macromischa Roger. The constructions made at the entrance of the nest of the species that live in crevices in limestone, and the description of the nest of one species that lives in plants, are given. Some simpatrio species are annotated. (sic)
