Primer registro para aguas cubanas de Branchiostoma caribaeum Sundevall, 1853.

Abstract

Se presenta el primer registro de Branchiostoma caribaeum Sundevall,1853 para aguas cubanas, colectado en la plataforma suroriental. Se describen las características de la especie y se brindan datos preliminares sobre su abundancia. In this article we present the first record of Branchiostoma caribaeum Sundevall, 1853 for Cuban waters, collected at the south eastern shelf of Cuba. The main features of the species are described and preliminary data about its abundance are given.
