Datos preliminares del zooplancton de la región oriental del Golfo de México y el Estrecho de la Florida

Abstract

Se tomaron muestras del zooplancton en 10 estaciones acortadas y 4 diurnas en la parte oriental del Golfo de México y el Estrecho de la Florida. El muestreo se llevó a cabo a bordo el buque de investigación “A. Kovalievsky” durante septiembre de 1964. La biomasa del seston fluctuó de 24 a 35 mg/m3 aunque aumentando ligeramente al norte. Sagitta decipiens y S. lyra deben ser incluidas en la lista de Chaetognatha de las aguas cubanas al norte. Zooplankton samples were collected from 10 shorten and 4 diurnal stations at the eastern part of the Gulf of Mexico and Florid Straits. The sampling was carried out aboard the research vessel “'A. Kovalievsky” during September 1964. The seston biomass fluctuated from 24 to 35 mg/m3 though slightly increasing to the north. Sagitta decipiens and S. lyra should be included in the list of Chaetognaths of the north Cuban Waters.
