Patrones troposféricos asociados con la afectación de bajas extratropicales en Cuba

Las bajas extratropicales (BE) son uno de los sistemas meteorológicos que afectan a Cuba en el periodo poco lluvioso. Su estudio en la zona tropical y en Cuba ha sido limitado a casos de estudio e investigaciones aplicadas de sus efectos. En este trabajo se actualiza la cronología de estos sistemas y analiza el comportamiento básico de la misma, determinando el trimestre Enero a Marzo como el más activo. Dentro de dicho trimestre se obtuvieron las configuraciones medias de distintos campos para los poco activos, normales y muy activos en su afectación a Cuba por BE. Igualmente se consideró el comportamiento de dichos campos bajos los efectos de las diferentes fases del evento ENOS. Extratropical cyclones (EC) are one of the meteorological systems that affect Cuba in the dry season. Its study in the tropical zone and in Cuba has been limited to cases of study and applied investigations of its effects. In this work the chronology of these systems is updated and it analyzes the basic behavior of these systems, determining the January to March quarter as the most active. Within this quarter, the average configurations of different fields were obtained for the less active, normal and more active quarters in their affectation to Cuba by EC. Also was considered the behavior of those weather fields, under the effects of the different phases of ENSO oscillation. (Traducción automática)
